Industry KPI Projects
EBRC/Gartner KPI Initiative
The EBRC/Gartner KPI Initiative is a market collaboration to develop standardized key performance indicators initially for the High Technology, Insurance and Retail and Consumer Goods sectors as extensions to the WICI framework. Gartner will facilitate the development of the industry sector standardized KPI concepts via private client groups to include leading company and investor/analyst participants. It is expected that the collaborative KPI effort will take approximately six months from inception.
Participants will gain insight from:
- Research previously conducted that is relevant to industry-specific KPIs
- The findings that result from interaction among the three stakeholder groups in this study
- The shared experiences and assessments of peer executives on this topic
- A meaningful exchange with the financial analysts and investors for each industry
This effort implements the U.S. SEC Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting recommendation that the SEC should encourage private sector dialogue to generate understandable, consistent, relevant and comparable KPIs on relevant activity and, as appropriate, industry specific, bases.
